Auction catalogue bound in red cloth. 234 pages, illustrated with numerous old photographs that have quite an interesting, beautiful quality and apparently are carbon print photographic plates, an early use of photography in a sales catalogue, made by James Annan (son of Thomas Annan). Some items from William Beckford's Fonthill, passed down to his daughter, made it into this sale. Some darkening along edge of front cover, and splitting at top of spine. Hinges split, but binding sound.
