From The World of Interiors website - Poliakoff mixture – the Russian-born painter and musician Serge Poliakoff spent a family holiday dabbling in textile design, and never returned to the field. Yet the abstract designs he produced in that period are confident and vivid, prompting enlightened industrialist Jean Bauret to produce several of them commercially.
